One of the best parts of living in the Bethany area is the incredible access to green space. The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) maintains dozens of parks, from small neighborhood playgrounds to large natural areas. Here are a few local favorites that showcase the variety our community has to offer.

Bethany Lake Park

A true destination, this 42-acre park is centered around a beautiful lake perfect for a morning walk or an afternoon of fishing. The 1.5-mile paved loop is a favorite for runners and families.

  • Best for: Fishing, kayaking, walking, and bird watching.
  • Don't miss: The community garden and the trout stocked by ODFW.

Pirate Park (Bethany Meadows Park)

Known to every local family, Pirate Park is a 16-acre park famous for its adventure-style playground. The main pirate ship structure, slides, and sandpit make it a top destination for kids with active imaginations.

Kaiser Woods Natural Area
